libcheese-dev software package provides tool to take pictures and videos from your webcam - base dev, you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcheese-dev
libcheese-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcheese-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcheese-dev *
You will get with libcheese-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
